Its the cream city on the shores of Lake Michigan, just up the coast from Chicago and so-called due to the light-coloured bricks used in the architecture. Known for its breweries. Its home to Miller-Coors, and its Harley Davidson motorcycles, youll find plenty to do in the centre including art galleries and the city zoo. Located in the heart of the Basque Country, in Spain, Bilbao is a coastal city famed for its exquisite seafood and pintxos; its tasty version of tapas. As part of the Pilgrim Trail, theres plenty of beautiful architecture to explore, including the 15th-centurycathedral and the 16th-century Basilica of Degona. While youre there, be sure to allow time for a visit to the Guggenheim art gallery and enjoy an hour or two of people-watching over a coffee, or glass of wine, in the large central square, Plaza Nueva.
