Arrive in Mannheim in the early hours. You may like to join an optional excursion to Heidelberg after breakfast. Alternatively, continue cruising to Mainz for the afternoon and perhaps explore the cathedral or the famous Gutenberg Museum.

Miltenberg to Wertheim
This morning you can explore the ancient city of Miltenberg, in the shadow of a 13th-century castle. Later, cruise along the Main to Wertheim.
Cruise to the university city of Würzburg for an optional city tour which includes a visit to the impressive Residenz Palace, often referred to as the ‘castle above all castles’. This afternoon you may wish to explore Rothenburg, travelling through picturesque countryside and pretty villages, on an optional excursion.

Enjoy a guided visit of one of Europe’s most splendid baroque palaces, followed by a tour of the town to take in the sights, including the 13th-century Fortress of Marienberg and the cathedral.

Travel through scenic landscapes to this enchanting medieval walled town. Enjoy a guided walking tour that will reveal the highlights including St Jacob’s church with a 15th-century carved altarpiece.
