There’s nothing better than sinking into some soft sofas and relaxing your over-worked muscles after a day of skiing with a glass of wine or a cocktail. Choose from The Lanterna bar, which is large and inclusive with beautiful views to carry out your apres-ski party, or the Dolce Vita. The latter is quieter and more intimate; perfect for spending time with your loved one.

Restaurants

There are four restaurants attached to Club Med Pragelato Vialattea. The kids will love choosing from a huge range of classic dishes at the international buffet in The Piemonte, while you might prefer waiter service in one of the others, especially if you’ve had a tiring day!

Authentic Italian pizza and pasta is available throughout the day at the Trattoria, where you can expect live music with your evening meal. The Tana is the place to go for typical alpine sharing dishes such as fondue and pierrade; a great place for a meal with friends.

Additionally, the Chalet Mollino serves lunch a little higher up the mountain, slightly closer to the action. Grab a snack here, while you’re on the go, or take the time to sit down and enjoy a full lunch before the afternoon skiing session.

Rooms

The club rooms at Club Med Pragelato are roomy, with comfortable furniture and rustic features. If you’d like a view of the slopes, please make that preference known when you make your booking.

Suites are also available giving you an extended living area; ideal if you’re staying with kids or fancy living quarters that are just a little bit bigger.

Children

Children from the age of 2 can be entertained by the on-site professional childminders at this resort. 2 to 4-year-olds will enjoy the Petit Club, which will provide plenty of fun and games in the snow garden and indoor play areas, while the Mini Club for children aged 4 to 10 will provide specific child-friendly ski tuition; in the snow garden and on the slopes.

As for Junior Club members; for the 11-7 age group; expect them to immerse themselves in the classes and be throwing themselves expertly down the runs by the time you leave. The kids learn so quickly!

Facilities

Skiing and snowboarding are the two main activities here with tuition and advice all geared up to help skiers and snowboarders. However, when you fancy slowing your pace, you can join a Nordic Walking tour, go hiking or enjoy sled-riding. When you’ve had enough of the white stuff, you can enjoy the extensive spa and fitness facilities in the resort.

Location

Bordered with France and Switzerland, this Italian ski resort is in the Piedmont region, which has over 50 different ski areas. There’s a large variety of runs here, with some of them used by athletes during the Olympics.

If you’d like to explore the surrounding area, you could always grab a game of golf at the Sestriere course, visit the Vicoforte monasteries or take a trip around the local wine cellars to taste the various tipples.
