UK to Berlin
Fly to Berlin and travel by coach to the locally rated 4-star Golden Tulip Berlin-Hotel Hamburg (4Q) for a two-night stay, with dinner included tonight.
After breakfast at the hotel join an included tour of Berlin, where the most famous landmarks include Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie and the Reichstag.
Berlin to Dresden
Depart for Dresden. Stay overnight with dinner included at the locally rated 4-star Westin Bellevue Dresden Hotel (4Q).
Dresden to Prague
Following breakfast at the hotel you will travel to Prague, stopping en route at the remarkable Sandstone Mountains of the Elbe Valley. Spend two nights at the locally rated 5-star Corinthia Hotel Prague (4Q), with dinner included tonight.
After breakfast perhaps join an optional sightseeing tour of Prague, which includes a visit to the Old Town, Stare Mesto. Characterised by cobbled streets, gothic spires and baroque facades, a maze of narrow, medieval alleyways lead to the Old Town Square, dominated by the 14th-century Old Town Hall with its magnificent astronomical clock.
You are free to dine independently this evening, and you’ll certainly have many superb restaurants to choose from.
Prague to Roth
Spend another morning in Prague, and then transfer to Roth to embark your ship for the beginning of your seven-night cruise to Budapest. You’ll set sail this evening towards Regensburg.
Kelheim to Regensburg
Pause briefly in Kelheim where you can join an optional excursion to the Weltenburg Abbey set at the Danube Gorge and renowned for its brewery, said to be the oldest monastery brewery in the world. Alternatively, stay on board and sail to Regensburg for the afternoon, where excursion particants rejoin the ship.

Melk to Dürnstein
Spend the morning in Melk. Cruise the scenic Wachau region and spend the afternoon in picturesque Dürnstein.
Melk Abbey | Two-and-a-half hours
Set in a beautiful position on a promontory overlooking the Danube River, the wonderfully ornate Melk Abbey is a masterpiece of high baroque architecture. Formerly the site of a castle given to Benedictine monks by Leopold III von Babenberg in the 11th century, work on the present monastery began in 1702 to the plans of Jakob Prandtauer. The exterior is an imposing and majestic sight with symmetrical towers and a large octagonal dome, while the interior is lavishly decorated and contains innumerable artistic treasures. After visiting the abbey you can enjoy some free time in the beautiful garden, before returning to the ship.
Arrive in Vienna in the early hours. This morning an included tour shows you the highlights of this musical city, including the Ringstrasse and Opera House. After lunch explore independently, perhaps stopping for a coffee and a slice of a Viennese speciality, sachertorte.
Spend the morning in Slovakia’s bustling capital, and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of the city’s old quarter and admire the attractive Hapsburg baroque architecture. Your ship departs tonight and cruises towards Budapest.
This morning you arrive in Budapest, the Hungarian capital, where an included tour will show you the highlights. This evening, enjoy your farewell dinner on board.
