UK to Merzig
Fly to Luxembourg then transfer to Merzig and embark Regina Rheni II. Enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board this evening. Your ship departs for Trier.
Trier to Schweich-Issel to Bernkastel
After breakfast enjoy an included tour of Trier while Regina Rheni ll departs for Schweich-Issel, arriving mid-morning. Rejoin your ship later in Schweich-Issel before you cruise to Berkastel on the Middle Moselle, where you moor overnight.
Bernkastel to Cochem
Enjoy a morning in Bernkastel. Perhaps stroll through the medieval market square lined with half-timbered houses – look out for the quaint ‘pointed house’ – the Spitzhäuschen – built in 1416. Arrive in Cochem this evening, and moor overnight.
Cochem to Koblenz
You have a free morning for sightseeing. Don’t miss the picturesque old quarter, dominated by the late-Gothic castle, the Reichsburg. Or perhaps join an optional excursion to Cochem Castle with a wine tasting. Your ship arrives after dinner.
Koblenz to Rüdesheim
Koblenz is set at the point where the Rhine and Moselle flow together, now referred to as ‘Deutsches Eck’ or German Corner and where there’s a huge statue of Kaiser Wilhelm l. Spend the morning exploring then depart for Rüdesheim. Perhaps stroll to the Drosselgasse, a medieval street full of restaurants, wine houses and garden taverns, for a glass of the local wine or beer. Alternatively, join an optional excursion to Siegfried’s Museum of Mechanical Music before returning to your ship and cruising towards Miltenberg.
Spend the afternoon exploring this historic city which has an abundance of pretty timber-framed houses. An optional beer-tasting is available. You’ll leave early in the evening and cruise overnight to Wurzburg.
Arrive in Würzburg which has an idyllic setting amid vineyards, with the afternoon to explore. Or maybe visit the magnificent Residenz Palace on an optional excursion, before you set off toward Bamberg.
You’ll have the afternoon here in this enchanting Bavarian city, which you can discover on an included walking tour.
Arrive early for a whole day of exploring. Originally famous for toy-making, it achieved infamy in the 20th century as the setting for Nazi rallies and, later, for the war crimes trials. Enjoy an included city tour. Regina Rheni ll departs late afternoon for Kelheim.
Kelheim to Regensburg
Pause briefly this morning in Kelheim to join an optional excursion to nearby Weltenburg Abbey. Your ship continues to Regensburg for the afternoon. Go exploring independently or join an optional city walking tour.

Look forward to a day in this baroque city at the confluence of the Inn, Ilz and Danube rivers, often referred to as the ‘city on three rivers’. Wander through leafy squares and promenades and see St Steven’s Cathedral, home to the world’s largest cathedral organ.
Melk to Dürnstein
Perhaps visit the Benedictine Melk Abbey on an optional morning excursion then set sail to Durnstein for the afternoon. One of the most picturesque towns on the Danube River, Dürnstein sits beneath the ruins of Kuenringer Castle where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Depart for Vienna later tonight.
