Day 1

After taking Saga’s included UK door-to-door travel service to the airport, depart for your flight to Atlanta. Stay for one night at the Doubletree Buckhead (4Q) (Please note departures in 2017 will stay at the Marriott Atlanta Century Center (4Q).

Day 2

Stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Chattanooga Downtown (3Q). Take an included trip on the Incline Railway up Lookout Mountain – the world’s steepest passenger railway – where you can enjoy views over the mountains. B

Day 3

Join an included tour of the Jack Daniel’s distillery in Lynchburg, then continue to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel (4Q) or the Millennium Maxwell hotel (4Q) where you stay for two nights.(Please note departures in 2017 will stay at the Opryland Resort (4Q)). B

Day 4

Enjoy an included morning tour of Nashville, known as the country music capital of the world. B

Day 5

Stop at Elvis Presley’s birthplace, Tupelo, and see the shack where the young Elvis lived, before continuing to Memphis for a two-night stay at the Sheraton Memphis Downtown (3Q). B

Day 6

Take a short included orientation tour this morning before visiting Presley’s legendary home, Graceland. Enjoy an audio tour of the mansion and grounds. The afternoon is free for you to spend at leisure. B

Day 7

Travel south and cross the border into Mississippi to Natchez. Stay overnight at the Hotel Vue (3Q). (Please note departures in 2017 will instead travel to Vicksburg and stay at the Courtyard Marriott Vicksburg Hotel (3Q), visiting the National Military Park en route). B

Day 8
Vicksburg-New Orleans

Continue to New Orleans with stops at Natchez to see the grand estates from the time of the cotton trade. Enjoy an included orientation tour in New Orleans and stay three nights at the Omni Riverfront (4Q). B

Day 9
New Orleans

Enjoy the day at leisure. Perhaps shop at the Riverwalk, visit the Jackson Square museums or ride on the St Charles streetcar. B

Day 10
New Orleans

Spend a further day at leisure exploring the city. In the evening step aboard a traditional paddle steamer on the Mississippi River for a jazz cruise with dinner included. B, D

Day 11
New Orleans-Montgomery

Leave New Orleans and head to Montgomery in Alabama. Martin Luther King pioneered the civil rights movement from here – see the church where he preached. Spend the night at the Embassy Suites Hotel (3Q). B

Day 12

Travel back to Atlanta and in the afternoon enjoy an included city tour. Your final night is at the Doubletree Buckhead hotel (4Q). (Please note departures in 2017 will stay at the Marriott Atlanta Century Center (4Q)). B

Day 13

Travel to the airport for your return overnight flight. B

Day 14

Arrive in the UK this morning and take the included UK door-to-door travel service home.
