UK to Jersey
Travel to Jersey where you will spend four nights at the 3-star resort-style Merton Hotel (3Q) in St Helier.
Jersey War Tunnels
This morning is at leisure. This afternoon, enjoy an included visit to Jersey’s historic war tunnels for a glimpse into the island’s role in World War II.
Today a full-day included excursion takes you by ferry to St Malo in Brittany. Originally a fortified island at the mouth of the Rance River, St Malo is now joined to the French mainland by a large promenade. The historic Citadelle dominates the skyline. After a short walk to the centre you’ll have time to explore the cobbled streets packed with shops.
You may like to explore independently this morning. The Howard Davis Park is adjacent to the hotel, while the beach and centre of St Helier are just 550 yards away. This afternoon an optional excursion visits the Jersey Lavender Farm.
Jersey Lavender Farm |Half day
Discover the pleasingly purple world of Jersey Lavender, a family-run run farm where lavender is grown, harvested and then turned into a range of different products. You’ll learn how the oil is distilled from the plant and about its many uses. The shop at the farm is filled with different lavender-themed goods, from perfumes and colognes, to room sprays, dried lavender bags and various lotions.
Jersey to Guernsey
Take the ferry to Guernsey where you will stay for three nights at the 3-star Les Rocquettes Hotel (3Q), a former country mansion on the outskirts of Guernsey’s capital, St Peter Port.
Visit the tiny island of Sark during a full-day included excursion. A tractor-drawn trailer will take you up the steep incline of Harbour Hill, from where you can discover the natural beauty of this tranquil traffic-free island for yourself. Explore on foot, or you may like to hire a horse and cart (at your own expense).
Please note on the July 4, 2017 departure the trip to Sark takes place on Day 7.
Today enjoy an optional half-day coach tour around Guernsey. This afternoon you can enjoy the facilities at your hotel or perhaps venture into St Peter Port.
Guernsey by Coach |Half day
Take a tour to discover points further afield on this beautiful island. Your trip takes in Little Chapel, the headland of Pleinmont Point, the West Coast and the bay of L’Ancresse.
