Cycle, hike, snorkel, and kayak your way through Cuba’s incredible natural landscapes on a 12-day tour that gets up close to Mother Nature. Ride along the stunning Viales Valley, passing mogotes (large limestone pincushion hills) and tobacco farms, explore the vast cave network of Cueva de Santo Tomas, go underwater world in the crystal clear Bay of Pigs, and kayak to an 18th-century fortress in Cienfuegos Bay. Arrive at any time. An arrival transfer is included to the tour’s starting point, a casa particular (Cuban home used as a bed and breakfast), for an authentic Cuban experience.
Head to the bike workshop this morning to get acquainted with the bikes and equipment. Explore the vibrant city of Havana by bike and then on foot. This afternoon, transfer to Las Terrazas Biosphere Reserve and spend time exploring this fascinating eco-resort on arrival. Opt to take a dip in the natural pools of the Rio San Juan, zipline (time permitting) or wander through the open studios and pottery workshops of this vibrant art community. Later, transfer to Soroa for the night.
Take the scenic route into the Sierra del Rosario Mountains to Cueva de los Portales by bus this morning. Explore the cave was used by Che Guevara as the headquarters of the Cuban Army during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. After, jump on your bike and set off through the lush countryside to Viales Valley, enjoying a picnic lunch along the way. This evening is free to explore.
Start the day in the saddle and cycle to Rancho San Vicente. From here, make a circular route around the Viales Valley, one of the most stunning regions in Cuba. The area is famous for it’s tobacco cultivation; make a stop at a farm to see how it’s grown. After lunch, return to Viales for a free afternoon.
Travel to Cueva de Santo Tomas and traverse the network of cave galleries. With galleries spanning 46km, there are eight levels in total and today’s excursion will provide an opportunity to explore two or three of them. Transfer to the mountains of Mil Cumbres this afternoon to enjoy a home-cooked meal and relax in a rural mountain lodge.
Spend the day hiking though the lush vegetation of the Mil Cubres eco-reserve to San Juan de Luz viewpoint. Be rewarded with an unparalleled view of Pan de Guajaibon, the highest peak on the Western side of the island. Lunch with locals in Sagua before transferring back to the Mil Cumbres lodge.

Transfer to the Bay of Pigs to stay overnight in beachfront casas on Playa Larga. Relax on the beach on arrival or head out and start exploring.
Spend the morning cycling along the coastline and swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Bay of Pigs. Grab a mask and start exploring the underwater world with an included snorkel. Later this afternoon, transfer to Cienfuegos and explore the city.
Take to the water with a kayaking excursion in the iconic bay of Cienfuegos. Make a stop at Castillo de Jagua, an 18th century fortress that offers spectacular views of the bay. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy lunch at a paladar. Later, transfer to Trinidad, a World Heritage Site and one of Cubas most famous cities for a free evening.
Travel to the Topes de Collantes Nature Reserve, the starting point of the Caburni trail. Follow this scenic trail to a waterfall and small pool. Take a shortcut that links to Vegas Grandes trail to be rewarded for your efforts. Enjoy a a delicious lunch before transfering back to Trinidad to enjoy free time to continue to explore this vibrant city.
Depart Trinidad and head east to Santa Clara. Step into Cuban history, and visit the Che Guevara mausoleum and museum. Return to Havana for a final night in Cuba’s lively capital.
