UK to Budapest
Fly to Budapest, where you’ll embark Filia Rheni II. Once you’ve settled into your cabin, enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board. Depart this evening and cruise towards Kalosca.
Kalosca to Mohcs
Pause in Kalosca where you can join an optional excursion to the Puszta the Great Hungarian Plain for a demonstration of traditional Hungarian horsemanship. Arrive in Mohcs late morning and set off again this evening for Belgrade.
You have the day to discover Serbia’s capital. An included city tour will reveal the highlights and help you get your bearings for exploring independently. Later this afternoon your ship departs and cruises overnight towards Osijek.
Arrive mid-morning. Stroll through the old quarter of the town to see the interesting church and Austro-Hungarian architecture. Alternatively, you can join an optional tour here. Your cruise continues towards Esztergom this afternoon.
Arrive mid-afternoon in this one-time capital city, which was relegated to second place by Buda in the thirteenth century. Your ship remains moored here tonight giving you the evening to venture into the city if you like.
Esztergom to Bratislava
Depart Esztergom in the early hours and arrive in Bratislava this afternoon where you can enjoy an included city tour. You can’t miss the vast, domed neoclassical Basilica it’s the country’s largest cathedral! Built early in the 19th century, it incorporates a red marble chapel from an earlier church. Remain moored here overnight.
Bratislava to Vienna
Filia Rheni ll departs Bratislava early this morning, arriving in Vienna at lunchtime. Discover the highlights of this musical capital on an included combined coach and walking tour. This evening, enjoy an optional Mozart and Strauss concert. Leave late tonight for Krems.
Enjoy the morning in Krems, at the confluence of the Danube and the Krems river and ringed by vineyards. Perhaps join an optional walking tour of this charming town, with its traditional painted houses, turrets and steeples.
Enjoy exploring the many treasures of Budapest. An included city tour will show you the highlights, including Buda, the western part of the city, and Buda Castle. You will also see the Hungarian Parliament buildings and Heroes’ Square in Pest, on the east bank of the Danube.
Budapest to UK
Disembark after breakfast and travel to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
