Bod, Norway

Bod has a dramatic backdrop of rugged mountains and distant islands and is home to a population of white-tailed sea eagles. At the Nordland Museum you can learn about the regions incredible heritage, including that of the indigenous Sami people and the towns troubles during WWII. Plus youll see some amazing silver treasures dating from the Viking period.

Troms, Norway

Known as the Gateway to the Arctic, Troms boasts dramatic coastal views from Mount Storsteinen, reached by cable car. Visit the iceberg-shaped Arctic Cathedral or take a tour to the Troms Wilderness Centre to meet the huskies that call this area home.

Narvik, Norway

Narvik is known for its Ofotbanen Railway and impressive ski slopes. Founded in 1903, Narvik is a relatively new city but still has an interesting history to explore. Located north of the Arctic Circle, the city’s harbour is surprisingly ice-free, however, there are still a number of stunning Arctic sights to see, including the Narvikfjellet Mountain.
