This afternoon, explore independently – you might like to visit the castle or Jewish quarter, or stop by the fascinating astrological clock situated in the Old Town Square – one of the oldest working astrological clocks in the world, the elaborate striking of the hour tends to draw large crowds.
Check out after breakfast and travel by coach to Nuremberg to embark Filia Rheni II. Set sail early this evening and enjoy your first night’s sailing.
Kelheim to Regensburg
Pause briefly in Kelheim this morning to join an optional excursion to Weltenburg Abbey or stay on board and cruise to Regensburg, arriving after lunch. This attractive city has been a religious centre since the 7th century and has a large number of medieval churches. This evening, cruise towards Passau.
Passau, the most easterly city in Bavaria, is home to an impressive baroque cathedral containing the largest church organ in the world.
Melk to Durnstein
Arrive in Melk this morning, from here you can join an optional tour of the Benedictine Abbey and Wachau region before continuing to<0x00A0>Dürnstein, where you spend the rest of the afternoon and evening before sailing into the early hours.
Arrive early this morning and enjoy an included sightseeing tour of elegant Vienna, where the old city is encircled by a wide avenue known as the Ringstrasse. You have the rest of the afternoon and evening so perhaps join an optional excursion to an evening concert before the ship sets sail again later tonight.

Arrive in he early hours. Budapest is a city made up of two parts: Buda and Pest, built on opposite banks of the Danube. The cities have been officially united since 1873, but they are still very different in character. Buda is older and more graceful, with its cobbled streets and medieval architecture, while Pest is the administrative and commercial centre, with wide avenues and impressive 19th-century public buildings. East meets west in this fascinating city, and this can be seen in the variety of shops and restaurants. An included city sightseeing tour will reveal the capital’s highlights, including the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Buda Castle, Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion. You remain moored here overnight.
