Day 1: UK-Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

After taking our included UK door-to-door travel service, fly overnight from the UK to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro

Arrive in the morning and transfer to the locally rated 4-star Hilton Copacabana Hotel for the next three nights. With its famous carnival and wonderful museums, stunning botanical gardens, sprawling favelas and iconic Christ the Redeemer, the vibrant city of Rio offers much to discover. Look forward to a welcome drink on arrival at your hotel.

Day 3 Rios Olympic Boulevard

Prior to hosting the 2016 Olympic games, Rio underwent considerable revitalisation which youll see for yourself as you visit the new Port Zone for a stroll along the Olympic Boulevard with its impressive wall of murals representing each country that took part. Youll also visit the Museum of Art of Rio de Janeiro and the Museum of Tomorrow a science and experimental museum, regarded as one of the worlds most extraordinary buildings. Tonight enjoy a drinks reception at a local carioca bar, where youll have the chance to get to know your fellow travellers. B

Day 4 Corcovado Mountain

This morning youll enjoy spectacular views as you ascend the Corcovado Mountain via a cogwheel train. At the summit you can stand beside Rio De Janeiros iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer which overlooks the bay. Following your descent youll be taken to view some of the citys most beautiful beaches Copacabana, with its golden sands, and Ipanema, lined with chic restaurants and boutiques. Look forward to an included dinner at a local restaurant this evening. B, D

Day 5 Rio de Janeiro-Foz do Iguau

Fly to Foz do Iguau and then transfer to the locally rated 4-starRecanto Cataratas Hotelfor a two-night stay.

The city of Foz do Iguau sits near the beautiful Iguassu Falls which span both the borders of Brazil and Argentina, making it one of the worlds widest waterfalls. Dinner is included at your hotel this evening. B, D

Day 6 Foz do Iguau

Today youll enjoy a guided tour of the Brazilian side of the Falls.

From this side, youll get a much better idea of the full size and magnificence of the Falls, and conditions for photography are especially good in the morning so have your camera at the ready! You can walk for one-and-a-half kilometres along a paved walk towards the rim of the Falls, enjoying a superb view across to the far side. This takes you to the section known as the Floriano Falls. A viewing platform can take you right to the edge of one of the lower waterfalls. Next youll head to Argentinas Iguaz National Park where youll be able to see more of the falls and take the Ecological Jungle Train towards the Falls Observation point known as The Devils Throat, which can be reached via a trek through the jungle. Day 7 Foz do Iguau-Buenos Aires, Argentina

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires where you spend the next three nights at the locally rated 4-starNovotel Buenos Aires. B

Day 8 Buenos Aires

Enjoy an included sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires this morning. See the Plaza de Mayo, the political heart of the city, with the Presidential Palace and the 18th-century cathedral. You also see the Plaza del Congreso, the largest in the city, and the Plaza de la Repblica, with its 67-metre obelisk erected to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city.

Your sightseeing tour continues with a drive around the Italian quarter of La Boca, and the elegant residential districts of La Recoleta and Palermo, before returning to your hotel. Spend this afternoon at leisure, relaxing at your hotel or exploring the city independently. B

Day 9 Buenos Aires

Spend the day as you choose, perhaps revisit the affluent Recoleta area with its fascinating cemetery where national icons such as Eva Pern rest in extravagant tombs. Look forward to dinner and a performance of the sultry Tango at a local restaurant. B, D

Day 10 Buenos Aires-Bariloche, Argentina

Fly to Bariloche and then transfer to the locally rated 5-starAlma del Lago Hotelwhere youll stay for two nights.

The city of Bariloche stretches around the shoreline of Nahuel Huapi Lake in Argentinas Patagonia region, and is a popular base for hikers and skiiers exploring the surrounding Lake District. Dinner is included at a local restaurant this evening. B, D

Day 11 Bariloche

After breakfast embark on a half day tour of the Andean Lakes in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, one of the most picturesque regions in the world. Follow the Circuito Chico, a 60-kilometre circular route through the park with incredible views, stunning vistas and verdant forests.

Travel from the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake to the peak of Cerro Campanario, where, from the summit, you can enjoy an impressive panorama of the mountains, Lake Nahuel Huapi and Isla Victoria. Pause en route and enjoy a beer tasting and snack at a local microbrewery. B

Day 12 Bariloche-Puerto Varas, Chile

Today youll make a scenic crossing across the border into Chile. Travel by catamaran across the beautiful lakes Nahuel Huapi and Frias, and continue by coach to Peulla in Chile. Here youll stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue by catamaran across Lago Todos los Santos, considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Chile, thanks to its emerald green waters and densely wooded shores.

Continue by coach to Puerto Varas, a beautiful town which stands at the southern end of Lake Llanquihue, the second-largest lake in Chile. Here youll stay two nights at the locally rated 4-starHotel Cabaas del Lago.B, L

Day 13 Puerto Varas

Spend today at leisure, or perhaps take an optional tour to either Frutillar or Chiloe Island. This evening you can enjoy a drinks reception followed by a farewell dinner at your hotel. B, D

Day 14 Puerto Varas-Santiago

After breakfast, transfer to Puerto Montt airport and fly to Santiago. Chiles capital, and largest city, is surrounded by snow-capped Andean mountains.

On arrival, look forward to a guided city tour where youll see the colonial main square, the Pre-Columbian Museum and San Cristbal Hill, with lunch included at the Central Market. Stay overnight at the locally rated 4-starHotel Pullman El Bosque. B, L
