Itinerary

Day 1
UK-Dubrovnik-Korcula

Fly to Dubrovnik and travel to Orebic for your ferry crossing to Korcula the fourth largest of Croatia’s islands and the birthplace of Marco Polo. Enjoy a four-night stay at the centrally located, locally rated 4-star Marco Polo Hotel (3Q), which is situated a short stroll from Korcula’s old town. D

Day 2
Korcula

This morning a guided walking tour of the medieval walled old town will show you the Bishop’s Treasury, City Museum and the Museum of Icons. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure in cultural Korcula. B, D

Day 3
Korcula

Explore independently or join an optional excursion around the island, visiting Blato, situated in an amphitheatre on seven hills, and the town of Vela Luka which houses the only Henry Moore sculpture in Croatia. B, D

Optional excursions

Korcula Island Tour |Full day

Korcula is one of the largest islands in the Adriatic, and this excursion gives you the opportunity to view its dense pine forests, mountains and picturesque villages. You stop in Blato, a pretty wine-growing town of stone-built houses and visit the picturesque port of Vela Luka, on the west coast and finish with a stop in the small village of Lumbarda. Enjoy a homestead farm visit where you’ll enjoy a light lunch and a wine and liqueur tasting, and then take a walk through the village before returning to the hotel.

Day 4
Korcula

Perhaps join an optional half-day excursion by boat, cruising through the Korcula archipelago, which is made up of 19 islands. During the cruise you’ll visit the island of Badiji and see the Franciscan Monastery, as well as stop off for a refreshing swim. B, D

Korcula Riviera Tour |3 hours (morning or afternoon)

Relax and take in the beautiful views of the Korcula archipelago as you sail around the Skoji islands, a group of 19 small islands, located off the eastern coast of Korcula. During the cruise learn a little about the history of the islands whilst enjoying light refreshments. There’ll also be time to stop off at one of the smaller islands and enjoy a refreshing swim before returning to Korcula.

Day 5
Korcula-Makarska-Brac

This morning, depart Korcula by ferry and travel back through the peninsula of Peljesac and along the magnificent Croatian coast passing through more picturesque villages. Pause in scenic Makarska for an included lunch and a little free time. Continue to Split, from where you’ll catch the ferry to the island of Brac. Spend five nights at the centrally-located, locally-rated 4-star Bluesun Grand Elaphusa Hotel (4Q) in the pretty village of Bol. B, L, D

Brac

Join an optional boat excursion to the island of Hvar, the largest of the Croatian islands. Explore the medieval town of Hvar with its magnificent piazza dominated by St Stephen’s Cathedral and visit the Benedictine and Franciscan Monasteries. B, D

Enjoy an excursion to the island of Hvar, one of the treasures of the Adriatic. This excursion includes a boat trip from Bol to Hvar, where you’ll embark on a guided walking tour of Hvar town which includes entrance into the Benedictine and Franciscan monasteries.

Day 8
Brac

A full-day optional excursion reveals the highlights of Split. Its entrancing old town is characterised by a labyrinth of marble streets which are a delight to explore. The main highlight is the Diocletian’s Palace, one of the most majestic Roman ruins in existence and another World Heritage Site. B, D

Brac

The entrancing old town of Split is characterised by a labyrinth of marble streets which you can explore on a full-day optional excursion. The main attraction is the Diocletian’s Palace, one of the most majestic Roman ruins in existence and another World Heritage Site. B, D

Brac-Dubrovnik

Hop aboard the ferry and head to the mainland for an included sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This beautiful city was described by Byron as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ and its marble streets are lined with medieval treasures and architectural delights. Later, travel to Potomje on the Peljesac Peninsula for a wine-tasting session. Stay overnight at the locally rated 3-star Hotel Astarea (3Q+) in Mlini, on the Dubrovnik Riviera. B, D

Dubrovnik-UK
