ItineraryDay 1 UK – Dsseldorf – CologneTitans VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your flight to Düsseldorf. On arrival, well transfer to Cologne and embark our ship, where light refreshments are available. Day 2 KoblenzWhere the Rhine and the Moselle rivers meet sits Koblenz, a park and flower-filled city on the edge of the beautiful Rhine valley. Well spend the morning wandering the citys string of charming squares as part of our included tour, before taking the cable car up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Nestled up on the bank of the Rhine, overlooking Koblenz opposite, this fortress is the perfect vantage point to snap a postcard view of the rivers below. Day 3 Koblenz – Lorelei Passage – RdesheimTake your spot up on the sundeck to get the best views of the magnificent scenery as we pass the Lorelei Passage – famed as the most beautiful stretch of the Rhine. We arrive in pretty Rüdesheim with the afternoon to explore. The old quarter is made up of secret alleys decorated with timber-framed houses. Surrounded by vineyards, you might choose to go for a scenic walk, or perhaps take the cable car into the hills behind the town for some beautiful views. Day 4 SpeyerThis pastel-pretty town is easily explored on foot, which is a real treat as it boasts so many original pre-WWII features. Well enjoy a walking city tour taking in the incredible synagogue and looming cathedral, then youre free to wander more or return to the ship for the evening. Day 5 StrasbourgHaving changed hands a few times over the years, Strasbourg has both French and German influences, giving it a wonderful multi-cultural flavour. Here, the great Gothic cathedral sits obediently next to the quaint Petite France district. Its two worlds in one – and its lovely. Well see all the best bits on our city tour and canal cruise this afternoon. Day 6 BreisachNestled among the vineyards between the Rhine and the Black Forest – with French neighbours just across the river in Alsace, its little wonder Breisach is a town of good food and good wine. The towns cobbled streets and pastel buildings are overlooked by St Stephens Cathedral. Explore at leisure, or join us on an optional excursion to Lake Titisee, where youll enjoy a cruise and some free time soaking up the peaceful ambience. Day 7 BaselThe city for art lovers, Basel is known for its wealth of galleries, museums and iconic buildings. Youll have the whole day at leisure to discover the charming architecture and winding streets. Alstadt, on the Rhines south bank, and Kleinbasel are two particularly appealing areas, both great for people-watching. |
