UK to Vancouver
After taking Saga’s included UK VIP door-to-door travel service to the airport, depart for your flight to Vancouver. Stay three nights at the Sheraton Wall Center (4Q).
An included sightseeing trip this morning visits some of the city’s many attractions. Afternoon at leisure, perhaps join an optional excursion to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain. B
Vancouver – Victoria
Transfer to Victoria by coach and ferry with a visit to the beautiful Butchart Gardens. Enjoy an included sightseeing tour of the city and stay two nights at the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour (4Q). B

Whale watching |Half day
Look out for one of nature’s most majestic creatures, the orca whale, on this exciting excursion. The waters around Vancouver Island boast the largest population of whales in the world. There are nearly 100 orcas (killer whales) surrounding Victoria, and minke, humpback and grey whales are also frequently spotted.
Victoria to Whistler
Return to the mainland and continue to the resort of Whistler for an included tour of the town and gondola trip up Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.Stay two nights at the Listel Hotel Whistler (3Q). B
Please note: on May 11, September 14, 2017 departures, and May 10, September 13, 2018 departures it will not be possible for you to visit the Whistler Mountain gondola ride due to the seasonal operating schedule. Instead you’ll enjoy an included gondola ride at Sulphur Mountain, in Banff, on day 14. See day 14 for excursion details.

Whistler to Sun Peaks
Leave Whistler and the Lower Mainland and travel through the lush Fraser Valley. Learn about the Gold Rush, the life of a prospector, and the Shuswap First Nation on a visit to Hat Creek Ranch.
Break up the journey from Whistler to Jasper and stay overnight at the Sun Peaks Grand (4Q). Dinner is included tonight. B, D
Head east along the Yellowhead Highway into Alberta. Stay two nights at the Crimson Hotel (3Q). Dinner is included tonight. B, D
Enjoy an included tour of Jasper and its surroundings, including Maligne Canyon. See Maligne Lake and Medicine Lake on an optional trip. B
Maligne Valley Cruise |Half day
This tour gives you an opportunity to see Jasper’s wildlife, which depending on the season, might include elk, mule deer, Dall’s sheep, bighorn, mountain goat and ptarmigan. Travelling through Maligne Valley you’ll stop at Maligne Canyon where thousands of years of erosion have carved out a 165-foot deep gorge in the limestone rock. It is a short walk to Maligne River where you can watch in awe as the river thunders through the canyon and down several waterfalls. Your guide will lead you onto Medicine Lake, and then Maligne Lake, tucked at the foot of a ring of mountains, where you can take a boat cruise to scenic Spirit Island.
Please note: the boat cruise is weather-dependent and can only be operated when the lake has completely thawed. This varies from year to year according to the spring weather, so please ask your tour manager for the latest update.
Drive along the famous Icefields Parkway en route to Lake Louise, including a stop at the Athabasca Glacier for a ride on the Ice Explorer. Stay two nights at the Lake Louise Inn (3Q).B
Day at leisure with plenty of time to admire the alpine scenery of the sparkling blue lake surrounded by glacier-clad peaks. You might like to join an optional excursion to ride on a gondola above Lake Louise. B
Travel to Banff for an included tour of the resort and its surroundings. Stay two nights at the Banff Park Lodge (4Q). B
Today explore this picturesque resort at your leisure. Perhaps take an optional helicopter ride over the mountains or a cable-car ride up Sulphur Mountain, for amazing panoramic views. Dinner is included tonight.B, D
Sulphur Mountain Gondola ride |Half day
This ride will gently hoist you to the summit of Sulphur Mountain. In good weather the views over Banff and the sweeping panorama of mountains and valleys are spectacular.
Helicopter flight over the Rockies |
Choose from two flights over the awe-inspiring Canadian Rockies. The first, Royal Canadian Tour, will take you through the Goat Range Pass and past the Sundance Range for views of the mountain peaks, alpine meadows and pristine lakes of Banff National Park, on a 25 minute flight. The second option, Mount Assiniboine Glacier Tour – a 30 minute flight, will include the same sights as the other tour, but will also fly you to Assiniboine Mountain.
